Perfect your DTF transfers at home with these simple, reliable pressing steps. Follow the instructions below to ensure vibrant colors, strong adhesion, and long-lasting results for your custom gang sheets.
Step-by-Step Pressing Guide
1
Pre-Press the Garment (IMPORTANT!)
- Press the blank garment for 3–5 seconds
- This removes moisture and creates a smooth surface
- Eliminates wrinkles and prevents lifting later
2
Position Your Transfer
- Place the transfer face-up (ink side down / film side up)
- Use heat-resistant tape if needed for precise placement
3
Press
- Press at 285–305°F
- Medium to firm pressure
- 10–15 seconds
- Ensure even pressure across the entire design
1
Let the Transfer Cool
- This is a cold peel film
- Allow the design to cool completely before peeling
- Rushing this step can cause lifting or incomplete adhesion
5
Peel the Film
- Peel slowly and steadily in a smooth, low-angle motion
- If edges lift, lay the film back down and press again for 5–7 more seconds
6
Optional: Second Press
For a softer feel and extra durability:
- Cover with a parchment sheet or Teflon sheet
- Press again for 5–7 seconds
- Medium pressure
- Ensure even pressure across the entire design
